Update on Arena Capacity effective November 16, 2020

Nov. 16, 2020

Good afternoon Falcons!

As promised, we’ve had direction from the City of Hamilton and we are excited to share it with you.

First and most significant, our on ice numbers have not changed from a maximum of 25.

However, as expected, there have been some changes to the overall building capacity rules:

  1. Players and coaches are to continue to maintain physical distancing during practices as much as possible.
  2. There are to be no games or scrimmages until further notice.
  3. The building limitation of 25 means that no spectators will be allowed in the arena until further notice.   This does mean that if your player needs you to help with their skates, skate tying will have to be completed outside.

The province and local public health will reassess in 28 days and we will provide updates as we receive them.

We recognize that the changing weather at this time of year may make it a challenge to tie skates outside, but we believe that this inconvenience is offset by the fact that the girls can continue to skate and play hockey.

Let’s celebrate and continue to do our part to keep the Falcons on the ice.

Stay Safe,

FGHA Board of Directors
