Program Outline:
Public Health Protocols:
Session 1:
This session will run from October 1st to December 31st and will be made up of at least two weeks of skill development and then transition into 4 on 4 games. We are working with other local associations to determine our extended bubble for games, and we will share more information as it becomes available.
U9 - U15
Two x 60 minute ice times per week for 12 weeks (We will have ice Thanksgiving weekend).
U18 - U21
One x 60 minute ice times per week for 12 weeks (We will have ice Thanksgiving weekend).
Session 2:
This session will run from January to March and will either be a continuation of the development format of session one, or a transition to a more traditional program, if permitted under regulations set out by the province, the city and the OWHA.
Given the uncertainty of the pandemic and the evolving situation, more information on the second session will be communicated later this fall. The Session 2 Fee will be due on January 15th and will cover ice and officials between January and March.
Please note that new groups will not be formed for the second session, they will remain consistent for all of 2020-21.
Fee Structure:
It's important to point out that costs for hockey in 2020-21 will be impacted by restrictions in place regarding ice capacity and the limited availability of open arenas. The FGHA Board has done it's best to mitigate the impact, but larger teams will require whole ice practices where in a normal environment, 2 teams would share the ice for practice. Teams at the U18 level do not practice during the regular season, and therefore consume significantly less ice time. The FGHA Board believes that the fees below represent a blend of offering a quality program for the players, while keeping costs in line as best they can.
Fees for the 2020-21 Season are structured in three parts:
U9-U15 Total Fee: $585
U18-U22 Total Fee: $360
Payment schedule:
**At the present time, we are unable to offer U7 (IP/Fundamentals) but hope to run this program when it is safe to do so.
The following stipulations apply to the Session 1 and Session 2 fees.
