Heads up!
Several individuals have received emails recently from scammers pretending to be Sean Andrus.
This periodic and recurring scam is always a version of some sort of an urgent request for help, and if someone responds, they typically ask the potential victimn to purchase gift cards with promises of reimbursement.
Please know that these emails are scams, in no way coming from anyone affiliated with the FGHA.
It appears that these scammers scour our website looking for email addresses (team staff, board members etc.) and then formulate an email scam to other emails from our association. As a public organization, we publish email contacts for key members so that our players, their families and other interested parties can easily reach us, this means that we cannot avoid these types of scams.
To help ensure the validity of emails, recipients should open the email and click on the sender's name to reveal the email address of the sender, it is often a gmail account such as officialmail9622@gmail.com or president4d7@gmail.com which are not valid FGHA emails.
Please be careful, and don’t engage with them.
